What the quote is trying to say is that no matter how you work or how you succeed in life, the world is always going to mess up your life and with that in mind you need to take responsibilities. It shows that this world is unfair, even you do everything you are supposed to something bigger is going to come and make your life miserable and depressing. Life looks so pretty but take of it's mask and you will live in absolute hell. Thats were we are at, we humans put ourselves in the worse place, even though we are at the top of the food chain but, can we be on the top of life. Not in our lives, its never gonna happen. My point is that you have to go threw pain even if you don't to or very cautious of your surrounding you will go threw pain. And you just need to get over it no matter what.

  I think that this quote means when you choose the right your doing the right thing. An example of choosing the right is studying for a test. This is an example of choosing the right because your working hard for something. A non-example of choosing the right is doing drugs and committing crimes. This is a non-example of choosing the right because they're doing things that are wrong and bad.

This quote shows that you shouldn't care more of your career more than your self, its bad because you will be most likely a robot more than a human since a robot is programmed to do things rather than a human is something who has their own personality and has their own will. And when the quote says what you are as a "basketball player'' in that part it doesn't have to be a basketball player its whatever career or job the reader has or if that is not it it can also refer to life. You shouldn't let yourself be placed under someone, we should all be equal.

I would become a paramedic because it sounds so cool to go in a car and going to someone’s rescue and there is a lot of risks.
